Stateroom 7338 Freedom

I am hoping someone can let me know if this is a quiet location on the Freedom.

Last year we were in stateroom 6383 on the Valor and it was extremely noisy. We heard the elevators, the room service and house keeping trolleys as they hit the metal plate in the hall and the music and noise from the casino.

I had to do a lot of convincing to get my husband to go on another cruise after that location.

Thank you in advance for any information on this stateroom. :)

you are across the way from the cabin stewards closet.

Deck 6-- many cabins are noisy.

But when you say you heard the noise from the elevator-- are you talking about noise from Passengers. Because the ding from the elevator is so quiet-- even when in the room with the doors you really gotta listen

We have stayed in 7411 twice on the Liberty and once on the Freedom- awesome area.

No across the hall neighbor. (its a firedoor contrary to what people say here)

convenient to the stairs.elevators. two floors up for food two down for entertainment. Not once did we hear elevator noise

I would want to be a little further aft if I were you. Our cabin for our last Freedom cruise was 7391. We have booked that cabin again for this January. I noticed as we walked from the Atrium to our cabin that the noise from the Atrium area, (people noise and piano) could be heard past where your cabin would be located. Have a great cruise!!!

Thank you - Hoosiercouple - for the link to a very helpful thread for cabin selection. Great list that I will keep for sure and refer back to it.

Thank you - vawalkers - for your comments regarding the noise from the Atrium.

I really appreciate that you all took the time to answer my question. :)

We had 7332 on the Freedom and it actually opens to the hallway where the mid-ship elevators are located. NO problems with noise and keep in mind everyone getting off those elevators going to our side of the ship had to pass our door. As this deck is sandwiched between two decks of cabins it really was quiet. ENJOY.

The location of Carnival Freedom Cabin 7338 is in the same area as some of the most expensive cabins on the ship. Often, the best cabin stewards/stewardesses are assigned to cabins in this area -- you may get a superior level of service vs a similar cabin in other parts of the ship.

Cons

The downside to being near an elevator on a cruise ship is the amount of foot-traffic you might have going to and from the elevator to get to the cabins on the deck. Not all people are courteous and can generate some noise that may be heard inside of Carnival Freedom Cabin 7338. Additionally, you will occasionally find some cabins that are right next to an elevator -- there is the possibility that you could actually here some noise from the elevator hardware.

Advice

Proximity to an elevator comes down to a matter of personal choice. Noise is a given in most any cruise ship cabin. So, if you are extra sensitive to people running past your cabin to get to an elevator, you might be best to pass on Carnival Freedom Cabin 7338 and find a cabin that is further away from the elevators.
