Newark to cape liberty cruise port?

We will be arriving in Newark at 10:30am for a cruise out of cape liberty on the Silhouette in March. Can anyone tell me the easiest and most affordable (of course) way to get to the port, and how long the journey is?

Cab...around $50 plus tip (give or take 5 bucks or so) and about 20 minutes...you should be able to check in-and boarding generally starts between 11:30 and noon give or take....

 

car service will run about the same.....

sure....and that way you will go when you're ready as opposed to when the bus is full........nothing is cheap in Jersey!:eek::p

For one person, should I arrange for a car or take a cab from Penn Station in Newark to the Liberty Cruise Terminal? Is the pricing about the same? I plan to arrange for a van of some sort on return as there will be five of us and bags then. Please offer suggestions. Thanks.

it will cost about the same.....50-ish dollars....with a car service at least you know the amount. cabs are basically a flat rate from the airport but i am not sure about from the train station as i've never done that....
