jemrtt Posted November 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2011 My folks leave Saturday on the jewel. They have not received a cabin assignment yet. Can I send them a bon voyage gift without the room number?
Got Tequila? Posted November 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2011 My folks leave Saturday on the jewel. They have not received a cabin assignment yet. Can I send them a bon voyage gift without the room number? Yes it can be done with out a cabin assignment, but you might be too late since this is posted on the website. Note: All gift orders need to be received by the Group Events Department no later than one week prior to sailing I guess it can't hurt to try and send one.... http://www2.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/bon-voyage-gifts

jemrtt Posted November 30, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted November 30, 2011 I called NCL's Bon Voyage #. My folks booked thru a TA, so the ncl agent transferred me to "someone" who can help since she was not able to make changes to their booking...I was on hold for 20 minutes. :( So, I just decided to give my folks the monatary gift in hand instead. However if they had booked through ncl, there would have been no problem to add OBC to their account as a gift - even 3 days before sailing. The agent mentioned it would be to late to add anything else though. Good to know.
Azure Moon Posted December 1, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Thank you for coming back to let us know how it went. I'm disappointed that they didn't help you and didn't get back to you in a timely fashion :(. I don't understand what the problem was that the first rep you talked with couldn't help you  . The first bon voyage rep I talked with this past summer was able to help me purchase gifts for 3 cabins my family members had, and they had been booked through a travel agent. I'm sorry they didn't help you, but am glad you were able to give your gift to your parents directly. I bet they were surprised and delighted :)- the same result that would have come if it had been waiting for them on board...except this way you got to see their happy faces . I hope they have a great time on their vacation!
jemrtt Posted December 1, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted December 1, 2011 I'm not sure what happend in this case. But you're right...they were delighted. And this way, they can make use of it in port if they like. It's a win/win.:D
