  1. We chose express debarkation on our 4-day Radiance cruise. (I added screen shots below.) On day two, we choose the last time slot available, which was 9:20-9:40 am. The ship was cleared, the Cruise director began calling for ALL guests carrying all their own luggage to leave at 6:49 am! 😳 We really did not want to join to the lines so early, so we had breakfast in the stateroom. The CD called for luggage tags 1-10 at 8:00 am, and at 8:25 he called luggage tags 11-20. By this point we left the room and waited in public areas on deck five. There were very few people waiting with us. At 9:05 he made the “last and final call” for all guests. At that time we took a slow stroll, down to deck three. It was one of the most chill debarkations we ever experienced. However, with that said, he never once called a group letter. We were assigned group N as you can see in the screenshots. 🤭 If you are looking at the timestamps, it did not take me that long to make a selection. 😁 I was actually taking my time to get the screen shots and type my notes, so that I could report back here in this thread.
  2. I used the iPad with Safari browser at 9pm and 12 am. The checkin button was available but again I got the error msg. I closed the page and tried again around 12:01-ish. But to no avail. I tried my IPhone around 12:15, and I noticed that I was able to start the checkin process. But I abandoned that idea because it’s so small.👀 I finally sauntered over to my laptop and did the check-in. Who wants to inadvertently input their passport numbers incorrectly at 20 minutes after midnight!?. 😳 Uhm not me! 😂
  3. Same thing happened to us a couple weeks ago. We are also sailing out of LB. At 9 pm Pacific, the checkin button became available. But we got the same error message as OP and everyone else. We tried again after midnight on the same device, to no avail. Once we switched to a different device, we were able to start the checkin process around 12:20 am Pacific. 🥱😴
  4. I collect magnets too. At one point, I thought if my fridge could talk, it would say: “NO! Please, no more magnets!” 😂 But I just keep buying them anyway.
  5. Sorry about your knee injury. 😣 My hope is you recover without the need for surgery. I must say you are correct! Buttered grilled cheese is a MUST!😋
  6. If it were our choice, we would go with an Aft balcony as long as it’s in the budget and has cabins above and below. Enjoy…no matter what you choose!
  7. Congratulations! What about a surprise scavenger hunt throughout your cabin to find a thoughtful gift? Doesn’t have to be super long or complicated. I enjoy the scavenger hunts that DH has set up for me over the years since our 1st anniversary. Sometimes the gift 🎁 is just as simple as face sheet masks and peppermint shower steamers, which I LOVE! Sometimes it’s a bag full of my favorite skeins of yarn. And sometimes the gift is a CRUISE! 🛳️ 🥰 If your spouse will not enjoy the hunt, then feel free to skip this post right on by.😂 I’m positive others will post great ideas you can utilize. Happy Anniversary!
  8. They really should name it that!🤣 That ramp is no joke.
  9. Then, I’ll be back on Wednesday to continue reading! 😂 Great review so far. Your writing style feels like I’m going journey - a buckle your seat belt real tight, get your snacks ready, turn by turn, kinda journey. Thanks!
  10. We have been on several sailings since the restart, without ever feeling sick with symptoms or testing positive. In fact we never got Covid since it the pandemic began. Maybe we dodged it because we have been working from home for years? Idk. Well that streak ended after our last sailing. DH tested positive for the 1st time ever after we got home from Panorama’s January 6-day sailing. I tested positive for the 1st time ever, 2 days later. He only had a headache, whereas my symptoms were worse: fever, aches, congestion etc. But the reality is, the possibility of getting Covid won’t stop us from sailing or engaging in other activities.
  11. We were on Panorama in January with a TBA/GTY balcony. That’s all we could afford to book at the time. We were assigned a cabin somewhere between 36-48 hrs prior to sailing. It was a mid-ship balcony on the 7th floor. That was a surprise. We fully expected to be in a broom closet with a Juliet balcony 🤣🤣🤣
  12. The first time we received an upgrade/upsell offer was for our last sailing. Prior to that, I did not know what to look for either. I found this video helpful.
  13. Following…well, because it’s Antartica! C’mon! It’s on the bucket list! ☺️
  14. For us, we notice several offers for our last sailing. The Carnival cruise manager showed multiple, refreshed offers in the weeks leading up to the cruise. But we only received one offer via email. We checked emails and the cruise manager almost daily, because we booked a GTY/TBA balcony cabin to see when a room was assigned to us.
  15. We just got off of Panorama on Saturday and saw our cruise history was updated today (Monday). For us In the past, it took somewhere between to 5-7 business days to show up on our cruise history.
  16. Our gty balcony cabin was assigned 36 hours prior to sailing on Panorama. We purchased the trip through Carnival’s website, 10 weeks prior to sailing. We didn’t get an email. I also kept stalking our cruise manager until it showed.
  17. We owned a Jeep over 10 years. I never knew about the duck thing. Haha I guess our Jeep wasn’t tricked out enough. 😂
  18. Home sweet home. I just love that NYC skyline view! 🏙️
  19. 🎵…and it feels so good. 🎶 - Peaches & Herb 😁 Thanks for the picture LaRue. And thanks to all of you who are keeping this thread updated with info. It sure is appreciated.
  20. We are in Club 23. 🛳️ Close enough to feel excited, and yet too far away to pack. 😏
  21. We don’t like how close the tables for two are either. It has the propensity to be awkward. 😂 We like to check out the MDR on embarkation day, to scout for two-tops that are relatively more private, or booths. We take note of the table numbers. After we check in on the app, if we have been given one of these tables, great. If not, then we try to ask the hostess for something a bit more private. It works for us. On elegant night though, we just take what we get to avoid crowding at the entrance. 🛳️ 🍽️ 🎉
  22. Sorry this happened to you. Did you manage to stay for the whole dinner? I’m hoping they were on their last course as you were being seated.
  23. It would happen to me too! 😣
  24. We’ve sailed out of five port cities. I listed them below in order of how much we loved sailaway. 1. NYC 🥳 2. Miami 🥰 3. San Juan 😊 4. Seattle 😏 5. Long Beach 🫤
