cruise wizard Posted April 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2005 We are arriving a day early for our 12/5/05 cruise on the Adventure. Have made a reservation at the Hampton Inn - using some Hilton points - so it is the right price. How about the accomodations, location safe, near some good restaurants, how far is the beach, near the Pan American Pier? Lots of questions. Or maybe you have some suggestions for a better hotel? Thanking all of the folks in advance that will respond.

lucasaustin Posted April 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2005 We too are booked at the Hampton Inn in Feburary for the night prior to our cruise. Our travel agent told us that you cannot go wrong with a Hampton Inn, they are owned by the Hilton. We were first booked at the Best Western, which has 2 stars...the Hampton has 3 AAA stars. It is $60 more, but we have a king suite with a full breakfast where as the Best Western had a continental and standard room. They also have a small pool with a swim-up bar. Restaurants are within walking distance. I searched the web and found tripadvisor very helpful. We do not want to spend too much, will not be there for very long. Hope this helps. snow Posted April 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2005 I have not stayed at The Hampton - but up the road about 1\2 mile at the Courtyard By Marriot. You might want to check the price there, as it is right on Isla Verde beach with a nice pool area & a casino. The Hampton is across the road from the beach near a restaurant called The Metropol, a Cuban place thats supposed to be great. Both are very close to the airport (a bit noisy until the evening) Good Luck Mike
cruise wizard Posted April 10, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Thanks for the info everybody. We are using some Hilton points so you can't beat the price!! How long of a cab ride / cost is it to the cruise terminal? I believe that we are cruising from the Pan American pier.
