Cash out Obc via casino?

Can I use my OBC from early saver credit and stock holder, in the casino? I would like to apply the credit in the casino and then just cash it out. Has anyone done this?

You can do this but early saver OBC is refundable so if you have any left at the end of the cruise Carnival will give you a check.

If you don't want to wait until the end of the cruise to touch the cash, the casino is the best way to go to get your hands on it quickly.

We wanted to play the quarter-pushing sucker game in the casino and needed a roll of quarters. When we went to the cashier they said there would be the 3% surcharge for getting cash.

So, we went to a slot machine, put in our sail and sign card and added $10 to the machine from our S&S account. Didn't play at all and cashed out to our sail and sign card. Took it to the cashier and they gave us the cash, no surcharge.

Go ahead and add the amount you want to a slot machine, cash out and go to the cashier and you should be good. But I'm sure we'd end up using the OBC by the end of the cruise so wouldn't worry about doing that.

Can the stock holder OBC be used in the casino? On the stockholder site it indicates the OBC can't be used for tips or in the casino. Has anyone actually used it in the casino?

I haven't used the stockholder credit in the casino yet (get our first one Sunday. ;)), but I've used other OBCs that supposedly can't be used in the casino. Maybe it's because our total purchases ended up being more than the credit amount, but we've never had a problem using an OBC on whatever they want. It appears to be treated as credit in, expenses out, and the remainder is charged to your CC. But again, we've never had a problem spending more than the credit amount on drinks alone...:o

Usually, the only OBC we have is the stock holder credit. Never had a problem using it. Bascially, when you get money from your S & S card in the casino, it goes against your account. When they apply the OBC, it goes in your favor, on your account. It is basically a money in/money out type of transaction. The machines don't know one type of "money" from another.
