Shasa catamaran/snorkel

Just back from our cruise! We enjoyed our excursion with Shasa! Loved snorkeling with the turtles! We had originally planned for the 5 hour excursion, but due to the weather we all ended up doing the 3 hour due to the rain. This was fine since we wanted to do some shopping anyway. We were happy we got to snorkel with turtles and over the shipwreck despite the light drizzle. Jason was terrific and Julian was great as well. Julian goes into the water with you and Jason stays with the catamaran. It was so much fun!

We also just got back and snorkled with Jason, Julian and Weluvtovacay. Had a great time. The turtles were soooo cool. We wished we could have done the lunch as well but weather trumps other plans sometimes..... Couldnt have been more pleased with the service and attention. Julian was in the water at all times. As for some of the prior comments.... our gear was stored safely, the crew was friendly and courteous, and on a cat with 10- 12 people a crew of 2 was just right! People were given the option of more detailed snorkling help. I would do this again if I had the chance. The best part..... we were just leaving when the 50 + catamarans showed up. Less kicking and bumping into others was just the way I liked it. Just an FYI if you are a diet mt dew fan in the southern carribean it is a looooong dry spell. LOL:D

We did the 3 hour sail 2 years ago with Captain Jason, and we loved it!!! So much in fact, that we are hoping to book either the 3 hour again or the 5 hour this December when we are on the AOS. We had only 4 people total on our tour and it was by far the BEST snorkel tour we have taken to date. Both Captain Jason and Tess were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the highlight of our trip for sure!! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barbados!

Any more recent reviews with Shasa? We are booked for May and I can hardly wait! Daughter will have a cast on her hand so we are trying to figure out a way for her to still snorkle with the turtles.

I just returned home today from our 7 day cruise on the Victory! I can not say enough about our day on the Shasa! Jason and julian are both fantastic! As far as the negative reviews i couldnt disagree more! There were only 11 people on our trip, most had never snorkled, jason and julian were both very helpful. We got to the turtles before all the big boats, had plenty of time to snorkle, lots of beer and rum much too!!We had the 5 hr trip so it was us 3 and another couple for lunch.. we stayed on the boat and ate and talked, Jason was very friendly, talked about the island and all kinds of stuff.. Julian too.. If you are looking for a laid back relaxing day then don;t hesitate to book Shasa!! I look forward to our next trip to Barbados!

We were booked with Shasa on April 8 and it was cancelled due to weather. The surf was up and Jason was not comfortable taking passengers out due to the surging surf on the west side.

He called someone at the cruise terminal who handed me his mobile phone, explained the situation, and had us take a different catamaran, which was going to be in a calmer area near the Hilton.

It was very nice of him to arrange that. We had a nice day and think very highly of Jason for helping us to save the day.

We went did the 5 hour trip with Shasta (Jason and Chad) on April 5th. We had a group of 10 so it was essentially a private excursion. We all had a great time. The food was excellent.

Below is a video of our trip with Shasta and snorkeling with the turtles.

Just got back Sunday from the Victory. Took the Shasa turtle tour and have to say it was fantastic. Aside from a very tiny private tour, we were the first boat to get out to the turtle site. Had a nice amount of time in the water with them before the giant carnival turtle tour showed up with what seemed like a small army.

But the real highlight was while my wife and I were snorkeling with the turtles. The captain talked to my 75 year old grandmother and made her comfortable with getting in the water, something she had zero intention of actually doing. From there the guide (Chad) personally escorted her around the water because she wasn't comfortable with the mask/snorkel and made sure she was able to see one of the turtles up close.

That goes beyond customer service in my opinion. I would strongly recommend to anybody to take Shasa.

We sailed with Jason and crew on April 11th. He had a wonderful Taxi service pick us up at the port. The driver told us interesting information about the island and got us safely to the beach. There we boarded the boat, our group included 3 kids and 6 adults. The low number made for a fantastic day! We were the 1st to reach the turtles and had a beautiful time visiting with the fascinating creatures. We then went to the "wreck site" and saw the coral and more fish. Jason is professional and his boat was clean. He even took some pics. of us with the turtles. Jared his mate was Great too, he was so patient with my kiddos. When the day was over; a very clean Taxi and informative driver returned us to the ship! FIVE STARS from the Wildthings!

We were with them on May 16th. Chad was our first mate and he was amazing. The parents of the other family with us didn't swim at all and he got them into the water and towed them around all day. He went above and beyone the call of duty and I was so happy that they could participate too

Sasha stood me up last month as he claimed his boat broke. To give him credit, he did have a man meet look for us at the dock who handed me a cell phone and the owner himself apologized. He made arrangements for us to go with another snorkeling provider who then charged us the full amount and did not give us credit for the deposit we paid to shasha to make the reservation. It is now six weeks post cruise and I never got a refund from Sasha for the overpayment.

so I am less than happy with his service

First I would like to address your review on Trip Advisor regarding

your tour on the 20th. We could not have emailed or phoned in advance

as we were trying our utmost best to fix the engine troubles up until

tour time, but we required a part to fix it. So istead of leaving you

guys stranded without a tour at last minute, we arranged for you guys

to go on Stiletto, who we have done business with for years, and find

their service and reputation to be impecable. Our Shasa representative

was waiting at the stated gate #2 as noted in our confirmation emails

to you, he was the "nice man" who got on the phone as per our request

to him upon your arrival at gate #2. He then drove you to the dock in

Bridgetown where you boarded. We never take a deposit from our

clients, the credit card number is merely to secure your booking, also

there is noted on the confirmation form that only if you are a no show

or if you cancel within 36 hours of the tour, that only then would

your card be charged. which you signed and returned as understood. So

therefor the full payment is due on the morning of the tour ,as was

collected rightfully so from the crew of Stiletto

We just returned from our caribbean cruise and went on the 5 hr snorkel/lunch catamaran tour with Shasa March 20. It was one of our favorite excursions! Our family of five, two adults and kids ages 17, 15, and 12 were accompanied by four other passengers. Jason and Paul were delightful and helpful hosts, and we had an enjoyable day getting to know the others on board.

We enjoyed snorkeling with the turtles and seeing all of the fish on the coral reef. Throughout our day refreshments were offered and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of flying fish, pasta, rice, garlic toast and BBQ chicken. We decided to choose Shasa as we wanted an intimate excursion and did not want to be on a large "party boat." I would definitely recommend this excursion and would love to book with Jason again the next time we visit Barbados :D

We took Shasa catamaran tour last week and had a great time. Shasa provided personalized service for our family (we were the only 5 people on board) and our kids had a great time. We were picked up at the cruise terminal on timely a very professional lady and taken to the beach to meet the catamaran. Jason was a great tour guide and a gracious host. Thank you.

We are very interested in doing the 3 hour tour with Sasha. I was wondering if it would be a good fit with a 5 year old.

Give Shasa a email or phone , I'm sure it would be great with your 5 yr old.

We really enjoyed it when we went & we saw 9 turtles!!!:)
