SFNC cruising Posted December 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Just got back from another great curise on the Carnival DREAM. WIll be crusiing on the Ecstasy on Feb 27 2012. I apprears to dock in a very different location that the Dream and Sensation. Has anyone cruised from the other dock at cavaveral? How is it? do the have a platinum guest line? TriciaEMTB Posted December 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2011 They do have a platinum guest line... The check in process is quick and relatively painless but the layout is a little confusing. There is no spot for you to be dropped off if you're not driving yourself, you just pull off to the side and get out after driving up to the porters and letting them get your bags out of the trunk. GloriaF Posted December 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2011 We cruised on Ecstasy 11/26-12/1/11 and the dock was not a problem. It is far removed from the other ships. The terminal is a little cramped -- we progressed in line quickly to the registration window, but then had to wind back through incoming pax to the boarding gate. All in all, it went quickly and smoothly enough.

A little history on the terminal--it was originally a pavilion at 3rd Century America at the Kennedy Space Center in 1976, which happened to be the last time until now that the public could enter the VAB. They brought them over when SeaEscape started in the early 80's. I can't believe that they are still around.

KellyJean Posted December 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Along with the Carnivale and Mardi Gras in the 90's and the Dolphin when it was with Cape Canaveral Cruise Lines. My first cruise was on Premier which used the last terminal before ships exited the channel. I remember seeing the Carnival ships docked "behind" us in the channel.
