Rare carribbound Posted December 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2011 We are looking at booking Atlantis Submarine in Barbados. Does anyone know how far from the ship that the submarine boarding is? How much would transportation cost to and from this activity?
Aplmac Posted December 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2011 . We are looking at booking Atlantis Submarine in Barbados. Does anyone know how far from the ship that the submarine boarding is? How much would transportation cost to and from this activity? Atlantis Submarine tours is actually just on the other side of the Shallow Draught section of our Portso it's not real far away at all! This should tell ya? -here she is, being towed back in from the dive site after a day's diving. Getting there is however an indirect affair and a bit of a confusing walk thru unattractive docklands (the usual 'scenery' in any country,I'm afraid..) You could walk there (15 mins. truthfully) but that depends on your age, your knees, your Night Before :D -and our heat and humidity on The Day! Taxi fare should be no more than maybe $3 a person, but don't quote me on that. This is their big boat that'll shuttle you out to the sub at the dive site. It's a nice enough ride out there and back! If you have Google Earth, you might use it to scout around beforehand? I do that a lot before my cruises... ;) .
Geek Saint Posted December 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2011 We are looking at booking Atlantis Submarine in Barbados. Does anyone know how far from the ship that the submarine boarding is? How much would transportation cost to and from this activity? My DW and I just did this a couple weeks ago. We booked through RCI. It was a very short bus ride. Then we got on a 2 deck boat that took us about 1 mile offshore. We docked directly with the sub. It was alot of fun and we would recommend it for others. We also took the island tour as part of the same excurstion from RCI, we however did not like the island tour. It was too long, nothing to drink or eat and just one bathroom stop.
