6Health7 Posted December 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2011 I am wondering what kind of line-ups to expect for the rock-climbing wall?? We are cruising on the Jewel of the Seas on Jan 2. It sounds like the ship will be pretty full. Looking at the pics for the rock climbing wall it looks like 1 to 2 people go at a time. I am thinking there must be huge line-ups. Especially during a school holiday?? Can anyone share any tips/advice?
will773 Posted December 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2011 Shouldn't be any longer than 20 minutes.
Ocean Boy Posted December 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2011 It all depends on your timing. Earlier in the week and earlier in the morning are better times. As the week goes on more people seem to find these types of activities. And as the day goes on more people get out of bed. In all of our cruises I don't think that I have ever had to wait, including when we were on Oasis, and I usually climb 2-3 times each time I visit the wall. alicam Posted December 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2011 Just remember....not everybody wants to do it...I've watched it but didn't have any inkling to bother doing it onboard...I've done it on land and that's good enough for me
6Health7 Posted December 9, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted December 9, 2011 that makes me feel better. Does anyone know if there are any 'rules' around age/height to participate on the rock climbing wall? I have a 10 year old that is anxious to try it. bokolo Posted December 10, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2011 On the Allure, I think there was a height minimum, but not sure exactly what it was. All of my 3 kids were able to climb including my youngest who was 6 at the time...even though he is tall for his age. Your 10 year old should be fine. dz9yvr Posted December 10, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2011 The age restriction on the Rock Climbing Wall was 6 on the Oasis. I assume it's the same for all of the ships.
