Reservations for MUTS?

I know what MUTS is...but didn't know you had to reserve? Tell me how that works and how you find out the line-up of movies?

Call the concierge desk, they'll tell you movies and times and then you make a selection. The tickets will be delivered to your room on the morning of the movie.

 

You don't need tickets for the movies during the day.

I just got back from the Grand Princess (3/26 - 4/2) and we never had to make a reservations for MUTS. There were always plenty of seats too.

We also didn't need any evening reservations on the Grand over Christmas and there were seats that people came and left during the movie.

And the movies were listed in the Patters each day.

On the CB, you need reservations (and get tickets delivered to your cabin) only for a few of the movies at night.

It was really quite nice. You sit on a pool lounge and they give you a blanket. They handed out free popcorn; they charged extra for other candy.

Any idea what is playing at night on MUTS?

As of a couple of weeks ago, The Incredibles and Shall We Dance, as well as Tina Turner and Beyonce concerts.

Just got back on Saturday and enjoyed MUTS very much. As soon as you get to your cabin check out the Patters awaiting you. There will be a list of all evening MUTS for the week with times. Call concierge and reserve whichever shows you want. Tickets are sent to your cabin the evening of the show (usually while you are at dinner). However, you don't need your tickets, just show up and tell the person on guard that you have a reservation, they can check a list they have and let you through. Also, some shows didn't need tickets as there was plenty of seats available but if you know you want to see a particular show at a particular time its best to reserve.

 

Movies showing during the 4/9-16 cruise in the evening were Finding Neverland, Incredibles, National Treasure and Shall We Dance. Each one is shown at least twice, both early (7pm) or late (10pm).

 

Popcorn is served for free throughout by waiters and candy is brought around for sale (but not cheap - $1.95 for a regular bag of M&Ms!!).

 

No bad seats for viewing or hearing.

 

Movies during the day included ET, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Grease, Shark Tales, Finding Nemo and others.

MUTS is just a totally cool concept!!

No reason to buy candy at MUTS--the buffet with plenty of sugar is only a few steps away! :D

We are sailing on the Sun in May.. will we have muts???

Muts = MOvies under the Stars

 

I am not aware of the Sun/Sea class ships having Muts, MUTS was pioneered on CP and then rolled out to GP/GP
