How easy is it to get taxi's around the island?

We are arriving on Friday, Dec 23rd and will, amazingly, be the only cruise ship there. I am debating whether to book a group tour (I like the price, I don't like being on someone else's schedule), a private tour (convenient but pricey) or just taking taxis each leg of our tour.

I know taxis will be lined up at the cruise port but what about at Orient Beach? When we are ready to move on from the beach, are they easy to get in that area? Our other stops will probably be Marigot, for lunch, and maybe over to Maho. While as touristy as it seems, seeing the big jets fly right over the beach does appeal to the aviation nut in me.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
