Hotel Near the Atlantic

Pre-cruise we are considering changing our plans and flying directly into Ft. Lauderdale instead of doing a few days in Orlando ahead of time and then driving down. I am not even sure this is possible since we booked on airmiles, but I am going to try.

 

My parents are already flying directly down and will be staying at the Atlantic Resort. They booked a while ago and got a great rate, but that hotel is way out of our budget.

 

I am wondering if anybody knows of a more affordable hotel near that one? I am completely clueless about the entire area and even looking at a map I have no idea how close those hotels really are. I am wondering if any are within walking distance and, if not, how far away they really are. Thank you!

There are dozens of little motels near the Atlantic. If you mapquest the hotel, you can bring up all hotels and motels in the area, then check tripadvisor. As you look at the map, you will see lots of streets close to one another...they really are very close, small blocks.
