vegas321 Posted December 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2011 We are planning to book a Mediterraneancruise on the Equinox in 2012. Can someone tell me the advantage of booking a concierge class over a 1A balcony?
Gonzo70 Posted December 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2011 The room is the same size, Concierge Class just comes with some extra perks - but most (if not all) 1A's have large balconies, so switching to Concierge Class may not be wise (if the Concierge Class room has a regular balcony). The extra perks are things like footstools on your balcony, free smoothies and fresh squeezed juice via room service, nicer bath towels, fruit bowl in stateroom, bottle of sparkling wine in stateroom, extra credit towards Captain's Club (loyalty program) and a few others (all the perks are listed on Celebrity's website. Am surprised to hear about the free smoothies and fresh squeezed OJ. We did not get that even in a Celebrity Suite on Infinity. Here is the link to Celebrity Concierge Class benefits on their web site: http://www.celebritycruises.com/explore/ships/detail.do?deckCode=PL&shipCode=CN&tab=staterooms%2Fexplore%2Fships%2FstateroomDetails.do%3FcabinType%3DCC%26cabincls%3DB%26shipCode%3DCN
Compass Rose Monica Posted December 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2011 You can get the fresh squeezes OJ and smoothies via the extended breakfast menu. At least it was possible the last time I was in concierge class. Monica

The breakfast menu in the Celebrity Suite appears not to be as good as the one in CC. I will see if I can find one in our recent cruise papers and scan it in. Certainly no smoothies or fresh OJ. The OJ we got every day was out of a container and was pretty thin.
