who knows? it was one private email to one operson. so only two people knew of its existance, until jh thought it would be good to start another round of fighting among his (have to laugh; hold please) friends and cause a further rift between those there and the cruise critic membership.

 

however, i don't think it ignited like it normally would because he has posted another revelation above it. he doesn't believe he should engage in the conspriracy and lies of santa claus with his kid.

Actually he named a person on facebook by close to their screen name, the lady named H8ugo, which is shorthand for you isn't it? Said you called him fat and ugly. What do you get out of the mean things you say?

i wish i had email access right now, but it was someone else that called john fat. alan the sponge came on and said he was going to report that poster to the brand ambassador.

 

this happened right on this very thread before it was cleaned up.

 

i then said that i think john already knows he's fat, and this alan guy said he was going to report me too.

Wow, what is it with everyone? Facebook hates us, people hurl insults at JH which gets the facebook crowd even more riled up, and they say hateful stuff about CC folks.

This whole thing is beyond ridiculous IMO.

But someones weight should not be discussed in a public forum, we all have our faults and people should not throw stones unless they are perfect, and in my belief system God is the only perfect one.

I'm going to stop talking about what the Facebook crowd says, because it doesn't help at all, but why involve yourself at all if it's smears and half truths??

he's quoted me many times on fb as well as his blog. same with his new mate, goldadj. in fact, at some point, he conjugated our names togerther with a third poster, who name escapes me just now.

 

it's just another opportunity to try to "get even", or try to one up someone he doesn't even know. too bad his target is once again wrong.

 

as much as he tries to say it though, it only puts the wedge deeper into this place. he's trying to be funny, and i emphasize trying.

Charging for multiple portions is ludicrous!

 

Why not charge a rental fee for lounge chairs, multiple plate fee at the buffet, maybe per flush water usage on the toilets, and hey why not add coin operated showers, let's see.....what else is there they could charge extra for - oh, yeah, the afternoon tea, lemonade and other free drinks on the lido, ice cream, ummm, to rent the clubs for mini golf, balls for basketball and pingpong......oh, there is just too many extras they could charge for. Oh yes, and I think it's been mentioned on a different thread - Guy's burgers and maybe they could add the Blue Iguana Cantina as well.

 

If you'd like to pay more overall for your cruise, you could go on a different line!!!!

It's childish isn't it? I just get so mad because I love this forum, we have a lot of "spirited" debates sure, but so what? There is a wealth of info and I do know that most people DO try to help others here.

It would be impossible, basically.

I will often order a couple appetizers and skip the main course if there is nothing that looks good.

Do I need multiple portions? No, but I do like the options you are talking about. Limiting food is getting a little too bottom of the barrel if you ask me.

Everyone is complaining about the quality of the food in the MDR and blame it on cost control.

 

Maybe if they didn't let people order multiple entrees, appetizers and desserts, they could offer better quality food in the MDR for the rest of us.

 

How about a small surcharge for extra desserts and appetizers and a larger one for entrees. I bet that would cut down on the double and triple ordering I hear talked about on these boards.;)

Raising the price of a cruise would unfortunately put cruising out of reach for many people, and would make it more difficult to sell staterooms. I think the best compromise is to keep cruises at a reasonable cost, even if it requires paying extra for optional products and services. Seems to be a win/win situation for everyone. Plus remember, empty staterooms don't drink, gamble, eat at specialty restaurants, go to the spa, or go on shore excursions.

I cannot stand seafood of any kind. I usually order the cheap flat iron steak.

 

I have never ordered twice, although once i tried (late seating) and the kitchen was already "closed" and could not order something else because my chicken dish was full of mushrooms. there was nothing on the menu stating this. so i ate chocolate melting cake instead. :eek:

 

i do not think people should be entitled to order two entrees...the buffet line is on the lido deck!

 

but...maybe charging $10 or so for a second entree may make people reconsider this.

For the people who don't understand the "poop" reference made by JH, one day he meant to say he was going to "Pop downstairs" and accidentally put "poop downstairs" and it has been a running joke ever since. It's fine if some of you don't like him for whatever reason, but it's disrespectful to bash him and go to the point where you are making personal attacks. :mad:

 

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

 

As far as the additional charges go, it's a silly idea. Charging people for additional entrees isn't going to increase the quality of the food. Quite frankly, I don't see any problem with the food. I go on vacation expecting to have a good time. I know I'm not dining in Gordon Ramsey's restaurant, so I'm not expecting the most brilliant meal of my life. I'm expecting a quality meal that is enjoyable and that's what I receive. :D
