Adding a Link to a CC Post

I've noticed on occasion people posting a link to a 'Post' (not a thread) here on CC. When you click on the link you get only the one message, not the entire thread (even though there could be countless posts within the thread). I know how to post a link to a Thread, but haven't figured out how to do the 'One Post Only' link. Anyone.... ???

Click on the post # top right, next to the triangle to notify admin. The post opens up in a new window by itself. The highlight the url and copy and the paste to you posting. Did I explain that correctly?
