Getting to Doctors Cave...

What is the best way to get there from the cruise ship? I have seen some sites that say you can only get a taxi, then I have seen others that say there is a bus...:confused:

 

There will be 5 of us if that matters, also wondering how much a taxi would cost, if anyone knows!

Went last year. DW, DS & I. We took a taxi/van and it was about $7pp. each way.

Is the Pork Pit close to Doctors Cave Beach? Would like to spend the morning at the beach and have lunch at the Pork pit with a beer or two before getting a taxi back to the ship.

We stayed at the Doctors Cave Beach Hotel and the only jerk pits we saw were not fancy oplaces at all but darn good.

Margaritaville is also right there , try their waterslide into the ocean - zzzooommm zzzoooooommm!!

It is much closer from Montego Bay...just take one of the official taxis outside the terminal. Guess from Falmouth its about a 30min ride?

That would be the Mo Bay pier - Doctors Cave Beach in in Mo Bay on Gloucester Ave a few steps past Margaritaville.

It's within walking distance. Maybe 10 minutes or so walking. You'll drive past it on the way to Doctor's Cave Beach.

Margaritaville is also a few steps from the beach, the fastest waterslide into the ocean we've ever seen! Also a fun bar and good food across the street at the DCB Hotel where we stayed.

Montego Bay had a "Hop On Hop Off" shuttle bus (Dec. 4, 2011) with tickets available in the port building for $15 per person for all day, all you want to hop on and off, making round trips stopping at some shopping areas, Doctor's Cave Beach and Margaritaville.
