Rare hcat Posted April 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Recently back from Brilliance. We did this tour through the cruiseline (Royal) & had a wonderful experience. After a long (but A/C) bus ride through the country including a banana plantation...we arrived at a way station. There was a local band, fruit buffet & so so clean restrooms....We then left on covered boats for a long journey through some beautiful canals. Saw many many birds & animals--monkeys, sloths,, lizards....just beautiful--use your long lenses! We returned to a diff & more remote station -less so so bathroom-- & then had a much shorter trip back to the pier. Guides on the bus & boats were excellent & we feel that it was great going through the cruiseline for this trip--we saw other boats that were not quite as nice...A later group did the reverse itin--glad we had the long bus ride at the beginning. Also we did not know we would not return to the same spot so did not buy a few things we had wanted to pick up---If you do this trip buy ahead..Upon return to port there was a flea market to buy stuff with lot's of variety-- Would not advise wanderring much further than that! mii Posted April 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2005 We did this tour through the Coral Princess and I also highly recommend it. It was a ship excursion and I would do it again. Wonderful views, comfortable seats on the bosts, which by the way are covered on top, open on the sides, and a great guide. Marilyn
Mike2131 Posted April 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2005 We took this trip as part of a combination tour that included the Arial tram and lunch. We expected the Arial Tram to be the best part, but the canals were, by far, the highlight. Highly recommended!
lesharona Posted May 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2005 We just returned from the Coral and enjoyed this tour so much. We saw lots of howler monkeys, bats, crocodiles, sloths and many birds. Would highly recommend this tour.
