Seriously, I'm told to buy the long island ice teas because you won't need as many of them. Also there is a martini happy hour some where on the ship so look for it.

Go to the same bartender the whole trip and tip well. Stiff and sometimes free drinks will come your way.

 

Also, I think I saw on some of the scanned daily schedules that there is a different drink special in a different lounge each day. 1/2 price, BYGO, etc.

If you listen to cruisemama post and get caught smuggling there is the distinct possiblity you will not get your booze back, just a warning.

So, if you are tipping well, aren't you essentially paying upfront for those "free" drinks? Except it's the bartender who is pocketing the money being "paid" for those drinks.
