Port Arrival Time in Charleston?

Sailing in 2 weeks from Charleston and trying to figure out what time is the best time to arrive at the port. We will be dropped off by taxi and always love getting to the port as soon as we are allowed to do so in order to get on that ship asap!! TIA!!

Due to the port, I would not arrived before 11am. You will have to wait outside the gates.

We went from Charleston for the New Years Cruise and arrived around 11, would have been sooner, but our GPS took us where we were supposed to go, but city police routed us to a different entrance. There were plenty ahead of us in the terminal.

unless it has changed-you can drop luggage off at 930 - but they don't let you in until about 10:45. there is lots to walk to close by, so you can kill a little time walkin around.

thats what we did in March, except we were on the shuttle to take you to the ship at 10:20 and on the ship a tad after 11...

We were on the Fantasy in Dec. Got there about 10:30 and dropped our bags off. Were told to be back about 11:15. Finally went through the gates at 11:40. Through the maze, parked and on the ship by noon. Good luck and have fun! She was a great little ship.:)

We had a taxi take us when we went in Nov. Got to the port right b4 11:00 and was on board by 11:30.
