Fun2snorkel Posted January 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Quick question: I am Diamond on RCL and am thinking of booking a 14 day Celebrity cruise. I know I will be Elite when I get on board but will I also be able to use my Diamond Discount for the Balcony? If so, what will the discount be for 14 days? Thanks so much for your help. No. You will get whatever Elite perks are available on Celebrity at the time of sailing (in case it changes). Unfortuntely, they do not have a balcony discount for their program. They do have some other perks that are good and even better then RCCL (like laundry service, and more internet minutes, etc) You can check on Celebrity's webpage for the Captains Club for what benefits they provide
Fun2snorkel Posted January 7, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Thanks for the info Steve. Too bad they don't also give a Balcony Discount but I am happy to get Elite benefits on board Celebrity.
MAHA Posted January 7, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Since you cannot get the balcony discount, if you own 100 shares or more of RCCL stock, you can get the shareholder benefit.
Richiebaseball Posted January 7, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Thanks for the info Steve. Too bad they don't also give a Balcony Discount but I am happy to get Elite benefits on board Celebrity. You may want to wait until the 9th to book. There is a sale offering OBC for sailings after March 1 and for 14 nights it's $300.
ClipperMiami Posted January 7, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Since you cannot get the balcony discount, if you own 100 shares or more of RCCL stock, you can get the shareholder benefit. Provided you don't have some other discount/credit such as OBC for an onboard booking, OBC from a sale event, balcony discount (RCI) etc.
Cigar King Posted January 7, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Does anyone know if the RCCL visa gets double points on Celebrity? My assumption is I will get double points for the booking deposit on RCI, but won't for the additional balance.
