2ptu/000 Posted January 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2012 We are looking into spending 2-3 hours at a beach while in Grand Cayman. We won't be drinking. Maybe just a light snack. What we want is shade, lounger, soft sand and pretty water. Any suggestions? We will be taking a taxi as DH doesn't walk for long distances. Thanks

bookbabe Posted January 15, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Are you talking about Seagrape beach or Seven Mile Beach for the buses? Sea Grape is one of the popular sections of Seven Mile Beach. Other popular sections include Royal Palms and Tiki Beach. All have good free/cheap facilities as well as chair/umbrella & watersports rentals and a restaurant/bar. All are easily accessible by bus or taxi.

Which direction do you go to catch the public buses? Name or color to identify? Interested to get to Sea Grape

nw2this Posted February 5, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Which is closest to cruise terminal tiki, sea grape, or royal palms? I know about the bus, but are any of these within walking distance?
TurtleTagger Posted February 5, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Which is closest to cruise terminal tiki, sea grape, or royal palms?I know about the bus, but are any of these within walking distance? Royal Palms is the closest, but all are with in a 10-15 ride away. The bus or taxi is under $5 pp each way, so no sense in spending 30 minutes+ or so walking in the semi-tropical heat each way....
Colorado Kat Posted February 5, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Royal Palms is my favorite. Definitely grab the bus. Royal Palms also has a nice pool, but that is adult only.
