Beach Day

We are looking into spending 2-3 hours at a beach while in Grand Cayman. We won't be drinking. Maybe just a light snack. What we want is shade, lounger, soft sand and pretty water. Any suggestions? We will be taking a taxi as DH doesn't walk for long distances. Thanks

We enjoyed a day at Sea Grapes beach...this would check all your boxes and is a short taxi ride from the port.

Yeah..no need to book an excursion to go to the beach!!!! There are also buses that run back and forth to the beach....cheap...$2.50 pp...easy...right off the dock area!

Are you talking about Seagrape beach or Seven Mile Beach for the buses?

Sea Grape is one of the popular sections of Seven Mile Beach. Other popular sections include Royal Palms and Tiki Beach. All have good free/cheap facilities as well as chair/umbrella & watersports rentals and a restaurant/bar. All are easily accessible by bus or taxi.

Which direction do you go to catch the public buses? Name or color to identify? Interested to get to Sea Grape

Which is closest to cruise terminal tiki, sea grape, or royal palms?

I know about the bus, but are any of these within walking distance?

Royal Palms is the closest, but all are with in a 10-15 ride away. The bus or taxi is under $5 pp each way, so no sense in spending 30 minutes+ or so walking in the semi-tropical heat each way....
