JACKSONVILLE hotel...help please

Hi all -

 

My wife and I are cruising for the first time out of JAX port next month. We are arriving a day early and will be there around 11:00 am on Friday, February 3rd. I've been researching a few hotels, but I need some assistance. We won't have a car and I'd like to do something other than sit around the hotel all day. I need to have airport shuttle and round-trip shuttle to/from the port included. So far I have looked at Jacksonville Plaza, Travelodge Airport, Microtel Airport and Holiday Inn Express. None of them seem to be near anything in close walking distance to shops or attractions....or anything fun. Am I wrong? Is there a better choice?

Look into the Hyatt Place Jax Airport.

They will shuttle you for free to anything within a 5 mile radius. Riverside Mall is closeby, with plenty of shops, restaurants, etc.

Stayed here in April last year & loved it.

Hi, just to correct the name....It is the "Riverplace" shopping center;)

I live here and was quite impressed with it...The Northside was so

lacking any nice shopping centers......
