Data Sim Card New Zealand

Does anyone know the best place to purchase a Data Sim card from in New Zealand. Ships internet is so expensive and slow so we don't want to use it. Was hoping to purchase a Data Sim to use while in port. What would be the best place to purchase one and what carrier gives the best coverage?

When you get to New Zealand, just look for a Vodafone or Telecom or a 2degrees shop and walk in and ask for a prepaid sim and ask about mobile broadband.
