Boytjie Posted January 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2012 Has anyone done this excursion? I have a couple of questions about it: Does the catamaran pick you up at the ship in Crown Bay? How is the diving on the southern coast of the island? Who runs the excursion? According to the schedule there will only be two ships in port that day: us on the Nieuw Amsterdam and also the Ruby Princess with both docking at Crown Bay and none at WICO (Havensight). Edited to add: seems like the Celebrity Solstice will also be in St. Thomas at WICO (no website has all the correct info!) I would have preferred to go diving in St. John but for our charters we enjoy diving with the people from our ship. We have a long stay in port (7 AM till 8 PM) so I am thinking of scuba in St. Thomas the morning (supposed to be done by 12:30 PM) and then head to St. John for the afternoon and meet up with friends there. Any comments would be appreciated.
CalaDragonflyLady Posted March 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2012 I did a St Thomas dive via HAL, but it was a while ago and not memorable. At the time, it wasn't on a catamaran. Last year I booked directly with Blue Island Divers and had a great time, no crowd, great crew, and awesome dives! I will be diving with them again later this year.
