Tiki beach??

Good Morning!

 

We will be stopping at Grand Cayman next week and are interested in going to a full service beach. Carnival offers a few options for Tiki beach, $40 pp for transportation & chair or $80 pp all inclusive. I would rather just go on our own but have a few questions.

What is the fee if we go on our own?

Is it easy to get a taxi once off the ship?

What are the approximate drink costs?

Is there a different beach we should be looking at instead?

What is the fee if we go on our own? --A chair will be $10.00

Is it easy to get a taxi once off the ship? - The shuttle is $12.00 p/p r/t or city buss for $5.00 r/t

What are the approximate drink costs? - Same as the ship, $5-6 for beer, $8-9 for frozen drinks

Is there a different beach we should be looking at instead? - Royal Palms is nice and they have a pool for adults only.

Has anyone been here recently? Is it a nice beach area? Is it overcrowded with cruise ship passengers? I will be on a cruise and thinking of booking an excursion with the ship that stops there. Thanks.

All of the beach access points are public....all have chair/umbrella rentals, and restrooms closeby.

This is an easy DIY day.

 

No need to pay someone to take you to the beach as an excursion! It's a totally easy, do it yourself thing.
