jsinger21 Posted January 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Hi everyone, I just wanted to know what percentage of the times does a cruise ship doesn't dock in Grand Cayman? Is there a month that is worse than others? Thanks.
cruiseguy1016 Posted January 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2012 I might be wrong but I thought ALL ships tendered in Grand Cayman. I don't remember a a place for cruise ships to dock.
melmar02 Posted January 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2012 There isn't a dock in Grand Cayman, you always have to tender to shore... or did you mean is there a time of year that the seas are too rough to tender?
jsinger21 Posted January 24, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Pardon me... I meant to say what percentage of cruise ships are unable to use tenders due to unforeseeable circumstances like the weather and waves? Which month(s) is/are the worst scenario? Cigar King Posted January 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2012 We've been there four or five times...only were not able to tender once. It's only one data point...others might add theirs as well.

I believe the OP is asking how often the seas are to rough for tendering. I'm curious about this as well
Colorado Kat Posted January 24, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 24, 2012 I've cruised there several times (Jan & June), and have never been denied tendering.
goofygame Posted January 26, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I went 3 years ago last February we had to go around to Spotts. Will be there next week -- will let you know. The Weather channel has forecasted the wind from the east at 16 mph.
