Carnival Miracle in dry dock

He won't be able to get anymore though, he was just leaving dry dock on the Celebrity Summit, but I thought some of you might like to see the picture.

About every 5 or so years or longer, for a few weeks to do maintenance work

So, this is a great thing then for us who'll be sailing the Miracle soon. Lots of new stuff, fixtures, facilities, etc. Awesome!

I'm sure there's a lot of wear and tear by the time 3 years comes along. Plus, when it comes to the technology that's fitted on the ships from computers to TVs, they are obsolete by that time.

I was in Freeport last week and saw the Carnival ship along with a Celebrity. Asked a guide and he said they were in drydock. I got the binoculars out to take a look.

The Miracle was definitely in dry dock 3 years ago (Feb. 2009). We were booked on her for our 25th wedding anniversary and about a month, maybe 2, before we were to set sail Carnival called us and said our cruise was cancelled as the Miracle was going into dry dock. So.....we had to reschedule on another ship so we took the Freedom. Enjoyed it but not as nice as the Miracle. We are going on her next week for our 28th anniversary. This will be our second time on her and being fresh out of dry dock makes it worth the 3 year wait to do the cruise we had dreamed of doing 3 years ago!! :D
