gijoe76 Posted January 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2012 There is a Holiday Inn right at the cruise port. Clean, AC, and you don't even have to cross a street.
Rare xxpinksaltxx Posted January 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2012 Try the premier inn west quay. It's new, and it very well rated on trip advisor.

MRS TIGGYWINKLE Posted February 26, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2012 The Holiday Inn is very comfortable for the night before a cruise....we have stayed many times. Avoid the Novotel though. Expect prices to be quite high though due to the Olympics taking place about an hours drive away. We too are on your cruise and there is an active roll call if you care to join us:). Kind regards, Mrs Tiggywinkle
tally10 Posted February 26, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2012 We are booked for our cruise in October at the Premier Inn West Quay. It was opened last May and the prices are pretty reasonable. Beware of the Novotel. Stayed there almost 2 years ago. The staff was good but the room was dirty (cheetos under the bed) and very outdated (no a/c either). IMO, the place should be razed. If your intention is to visit London and see the sights of London, then you really need to stay in London...Southampton is a three hour train ride away... There are literally hundreds of hotels in London...all price ranges, all levels of quality...some are in nicer neighborhoods than others, some more convenient than others... You will need to disembark the ship and head to London by train, bus, transfer or hired car or car service/taxi... Find yourself a good location in London and, once there, you can get all over on foot, by Underground, by taxi or by HOHO bus tour... Good luck...
