I miss the Flagship!! My wife and I used to stay there all the time 10-15 years ago. Definitely a rat trap even back then but you couldn't beat the balconies right on the water.

 

Looks like they've made a ton of headway since I was there just a few weeks ago. We sailed on the Magic 1/1 and there weren't any rides out there yet. Excited to see what it turns into.

I love it. Maybe this will quell some of the "there's nothing to do in Galveston!" pronouncements from some of the cruisers, although the thought of that literally boggles my mind. Can't wait for it to open!

We are looking forward to seeing this when we make our next cruise out of Galveston...which may not be until next year. Galveston is a fun place, and this will only increase our enjoyment of spending a few pre-cruise days there each time we cruise.:)
