Port

The port is in the middle of downtown George Town, so there's tons to do in the surrounding area. There is a lot of shopping (from cheap tourist stuff to expensive jewelry) and quite a few restaurants. There's a museum and a couple of good spots to go shore snorkeling. Whether it's stuff you'd be upset you missed, I have no idea. I like wandering around downtown and always find interesting things to do/see/eat/buy, but your mileage may vary... :D

When we are done with our excursions or touring or whatever we've planned for the day, we always head to the area around the dock, find a restaurant with outdoor seating, or else hit up Margaritaville for the shenanigans and wait it out until almost the last tender. We enjoy our time in the ports and don't like to rush back to the ship. There are a number of nice places to sit and have a cocktail or order up some conch fritters and sit on a shady balcony while watching all the people! It's well worth doing in out opinion. We are not shoppers and once we have our Big Black Dick Rum ordered to be delivered to the ship, we are done shopping all together. But if that's your thing, there's plenty of that right near the docks.
