cruise47 Posted January 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Looks like Celebrity and RCI did very well in the Conde' Nast Poll. Ten (10) of the Top Twenty ships are either Celebrity or RCI. However, Disney Cruise Lines had three (3) of the Top four (4) cruise ships. Ranked 1, 3, & 4.
leonardofan Posted January 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2012 But did you see the recommendations at the World Ocean and Cruise Liner Society? Never mind, what counts is Berlitz...:p
CactusGirly Posted January 30, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2012 What's interesting is if they would have categorized it and pulled out "Family Friendly", Celebrity would have likely been in the #1 & 2 spots. To be clear, I am not discounting DCL. We have cruised on that line before, and will again in a few months. They do provide an outstanding experience and beautiful ships, but it is definitely a niche market.

YOW Posted January 31, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2012 Seems odd to have Disney Magic and Disney Wonder in the 'large' category -- they're actually smaller than some ships in the 'medium' list such as Constellation and Summit. And how readers could put Eurodam on the same level as Oceania or Azamara ships, I'll never know.

Over or under 2500 passengers.
SoBe2010 Posted February 1, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 1, 2012 I saw that as well. Very impressive. Hopefully we will be on the Equinox next fall. :) Is Princess really that good? We avoided them so far. The cabins look very old fashioned. Food reviews are not very good.
