We will be sailing in the newly re-fit Sapphire and our TA booked us in a balcony on the lido deck. What are the pros and cons being so close to the pool deck, MUTS, etc? Wanted to try a new cruise line and the coastal itinerary seems perfect. Thanks for your feed back.

We are leaving on the Crown on Saturday. Second time on the lido. If you plan to use the pools and the buffet its a great location. Many will however point out that Caribe has significantly larger balconies. Its a matter of prefrence.

When you are inside the ship you can't hear what's going on out on deck and at night it is always quiet by the pools. Once it gets dark and the evening activities begin, people tend to stay away from the pool areas. If you are out on your balcony you may hear some of the sound but it won't be much. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. A lot of people like that deck for its convenience to the pool and buffet.
