Hello Chris,

I just found your review today and I am really glad I got to relive the cruise. My family was the friend who went to the kiddie pool with you. Your review brought back all the memories of us chatting with everyone on the ship and on shore.

Like you, we booked the Miracle again with the same itinerary as you but in October. I look forward to your next review.

Hi SJ! Just saw this..... I am glad you enjoyed the review! There were definitely a lot of awesome memories of this cruise. So glad we participated in the roll call! I can't wait till our September cruise. How is the little one? Logan has gotten sooo big. Such a great age. Unfortunately he will be just shy of his second birthday when we cruise again so we won't be able to use Camp Carnival :( I think we will probably do September again in 2013 out of NY on the Splendor!

Hope you are well and thanks for commenting!

Thank you so much for the great review. We are doing our first cruise with my son in November on the Magic, and seeing successful trips from others, encourages me. He will be 22 months at time of sailing, but I know there will be challenges and cruising will be different for us now... but we would never think of leaving him home either. I loved the idea for bathtime... will definitely be trying that. Thanks!

Wonderful review and photos, Chris. This really brings back the memories of our sail away, exactly 11 months ago today...

Glad you enjoyed it! We leave 3 weeks from today on the Miracle again and in the exact same cabin! Funny how that worked out. We will be returning on 9/11. Very excited!

Thank you so much not only for the baby tips but the photos are priceless.

We leave in Nov for our annual Thanksgiving cruise. This year it will include our newest member a baby girl who will be 6 months and 2 days old on sail day. She just made it.

Also along will be my grandsons ages 16 and 11' both cruise addicts and VIP's.

The whole family is a bunch of addicts.

Last year I took the boys to Europe for 3 weeks including 16 days on the Magic. We all loved it. Some said it was a waste of money to take the younger grandson. He was 9 then. He loved it and returned to school to last Aug to find some of the places we went were included in his classes.. So proud to share pictures with his class.

Nov 2013 we will fly to Barcelona and do a TA with the new baby who will be 17 months.

So thank you for the tips

PS. Got to love that grape dining room!

Around 7:30 the ship started to once again sail down the Hudson. At this point DS was getting hungry as were we. Took a quick couple of pictures of the Statue of Liberty and then went to the cabin to grab DS food and discovered the crib had still not arrived.

Called the steward on the phone and he came to the cabin immediately! Unlocked the fridge for us and told us to go eat dinner and he would set up the crib and turn down the room. He and his assistant were awesome all week long! They always called us and our son by name and had a towel animal ready every night!

We headed up to Lido to grab some dinner. We had early dining in the MDR and missed it due to the sail away activities. Found a high chair with no problem. DW fed the boy while I went and got us food. This was the only dinner we ate at the buffet and it was very good.

We wandered around the ship for awhile and went to the theater for the welcome aboard show. DS had fallen asleep in his stroller but woke up about 10 minutes in to the show so we headed back to the cabin to get him settled in for the night.

Crib was set up. They don't use crib size sheets but rather fold a normal size sheet up to fit. It works but seemed a little odd. Now DS won't go to sleep if he can see us, so I use our beach towels and towel clips to cover the sides of the crib. It worked well. DW was tired and settled in for the night, I decided to head to the casino. DS wasn't asleep yet so I crawled past his crib so he didn't see me!

I just realized that I was so wrapped up with the 9/11 activities that I didn't tell you anything about this cruise. We were heading to Bermuda for three days. We were at sea Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and arrived in Bermuda Wednesday. We left friday and arrived back in NY on Monday morning.

Up Next--Day 2 @ Sea

OMG.....I used to have to crawl past my sons crib also....He was rotten.....He will be 27 tomorrow, Didn't last long but thank godness I was young when I had to crawl past...LOL
