Half Moon Cay question

Hi all! My daughter is getting married on Half Moon Cay in April 2013. We have the cruise booked for family and friends, and the wedding booked.

We would love to book the Private Oasis on Half Moon Cay for all of us to enjoy after the ceremony. My question is this: on Carnival web site it says we are on the island from 9-5, but the excursion page says the excursion is 5 hours in duration. Does anyone know if we would have to out of the oasis at the end of 5 hours or would we have it for as long as we are on the island? I have put an email into the excursion department, but have yet to hear anything back.

Thanks in advance!

Denise

It's yours as long as your on the island, just like the cabanas that for some reason say 1 hour . So have no fears, if you get the Oasis, it's all yours from the time you step on the beach until the last tender.

Congrats on the wedding!

You get it for most of the day, not sure about the ENTIRE day but for most of it anyway. I shoud say, I know you can go there the ENTIRE day just not sure if you have the staff for the ENTIRE time...

Not to panic you or anything, but do you have a back up plan for HMC incase the ship can't get there? 2 out of our last 3 cruises we have had to miss the private islands because they couldn't tender. I have seen more than 1 bride not make it to their wedding...

And please understand that I am not mentioning this to scare you or freak you out, I have just seen so many people unaware that they can miss those tender ports and are left with no alternate plan...

Hi Tracy....good point! I think my daughter will talk with the wedding planner about that and hopefully come up with an alternative if that happens. Goodness, wouldn't that be something? Thank you for mentioning that, I have moved that to the top of my list of things that we need to plan/take of!

Thanks again!

No worries, just didn't want a bride's big day in turmoil in the event of rough seas! I haven't rented the cabana but did get a chance to see it when we were there once and it is really something. Everyone that gotten it says it is simply amazing and worth every penny! ENJOY!

What a wonderful idea for a wedding! We had the Oasis last year - it is yours for the day - you can stay until it's time to get back aboard. In our case port time was 7-4, and our hostess had us wrap up a little after three (last tender was at 3:30) so she could escort us directly to the tender (no, we didn't have to wait in line!:D) There are some limits on the servers' times; in our case, food was served until 1:30 and drinks were available until 2:30.

My husband and I got married on the ship while docked in HMC in October. Carnival staff was absolutely amazing. We are actually going back on March 3 Liberty to visit the island since we missed it preparing for the ceremony. If your daughter has any questions, feel free to email me bj84014@comcast.net. I had such a wonderful experience and hope future brides do to.

We just rented the Oasis this past September and it was wonderful! The best island ever! The staff stayed with us for 5 hours and left food and alcohol with us when they left. We had an awesome time! If someone will tell me how to post pictures I will put some on!!

And...we rented it again for next September! (Annual girls' cruise!)

Our group enjoyed the Oasis all day and we took the last tender back! Enjoy! It's wonderful!

Is this a perk just for the Oasis renters or all cabana renters?
