rugbypopsie Posted April 26, 2012 Author #27 Share Posted April 26, 2012 Ended up booking balconies on the Radiance for our friends (the cruise ship virgins) but have booked Pacific Dawn for the PNG cruise next October. Have a balcony on Aloha..bit concerned about the Lido Deck above...how is that deck (Aloha) for noise penetration we are near the second lot of stairs port side..not worried about noise from people using stairs just deck furniture etc. from above. rescue Posted April 26, 2012 #28 Share Posted April 26, 2012 Despite the influx of other cruise lines P7O still uses Australia as the last stop before the breakers yard for ships, the Radiance is a far better choice.

As I mentioned before....... Obviously it is well known that we get ships deployed to P&O Australia that are not new, however your comment is incorrect......again. Apart from Fairstar (which was 47 years old when she went off fleet and was not repositioned here at the end of her life) all other P&O Australia ships that have gone off fleet in recent times have gone on to other lines, NOT to the breakers. I can list them if you didn't know this. I notice from your signature that you haven't cruised on P&O...try it you might like it.
