Destiny safe

Those times that I brought my laptop, I just kept it in its case hidden from view, either in a corner or under the bed. It was out of sight though, so if somebody happened to enter the room, they would not see it or the case out in the open. You can hide it behind a laundry bag or something so if somebody bad does come scan the room it doesn't stick out as anything valuable.

Alternatively, bring a netbook - that does fit just fine.

Netbooks didnt fit on Triumph because the safe door would not swing open far enough.

I know I have fit it on another ship, but not this one and I would assume Triumph and Destiny are very close in specs, almost identical.

Maybe it also depends on what kind of cabin you have if the door to the safe will not swing wide open.

We just got off the Spirit last weekend. Between DH and I, we had: a Motorola XOOM, iPad, pod Touch, Sony Reader, and a Toshiba laptop along with our Blackberries. We kept them on top of the counter beside the electrical outlet when we weren't using them. We had no issues. The safe is certainly not large enough for your purpose!

I have an HP netbook and it fit in the safe on Destiny in a 5A. If it was even 1cm bigger, it would not have.

Thank you so much! :) I always keep my laptop in the case and only take it out when I am using it. It will be me and 3 room-mates (Lord help me) so I will have to find a good place to keep it when not in use. We are going cheap and just doing a inside state room on a lower deck.
