Port or Starboard Rhine River

We are on the same route this April. The only comments I have heard (after booking a starboard cabin!) is that you should book a port cabin for this route. The reason given is that the afternoon sun can heat up the starboard cabins and sometimes necessitates pulling the drapes to block the sun. Since we are going in April, I didn't think it was that big of a deal, we probably will want the heat!!

The best views would be up on deck that way you can see port or starboard sides of the river

Best cabin location may be different

You could also wake up with another ship docked right next to you....so the view would be of their staterooms
