Kracknov Posted April 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2005 how are the atrium/promenade rooms on the 8th floor? Would you choose a room on the end or in the middle of the 8th floor promenade
superjerryw Posted April 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2005 The rooms in the middle will give you a better view of the promenade if you like to do people watching. You will also have a better view of the parades if you choose to watch them from your cabin.
buzzandjulie Posted April 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2005 However keep in mind that if you can look down and see out --the people on the promanade can look up and see in! I have been on 3 voyagaer class ships and found that most of the time in the evening the shades were drawn or if not you could look right into the rooms if the people were standing or seating or undressing near the window. PAGA Posted April 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2005 When you talk about the "center" cabins you should know that you need to be careful that you select a cabin in the center of the promenade and not the center of the ship. Cabins in the center of the ship will overlook guest relations or the champagne bar and not the promenade area...we know this from experience -- we had a bad recommendation from a TA. With a mid-ship cabin we couldn't even watch the parades because the view of the promenade was blocked by the arching, fiber-optic "promenade" sign. And it's not much of a view to watch frustrated people stand in line at guest relations!!
KeyOfSea Posted April 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2005 PAGA, What was your cabin number? I want to make sure that ours will be OK. Thanks,
yogimax Posted April 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Bear in mind (bare in mind?) that the people in the cabins opposite yours have a direct view into your cabin
jeniferlyn Posted April 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2005 I am concerned now that the view will be bad. Do you have any idea what the view is like from #6277? We will be on the NOS. The kids have this room while we have a balcony across the hall. They will be so disappointed if they can't see the parades. Thanks for any help.
