When the seas get rough, where do you go!?

We hit either the casino, the bar, or the dance floor... We laugh about the fact that after having a few drinks during times of rough seas, our staggering neutralizes the affects of a rocking and rolling ship...we are one of the few that start to walk straight! LOL

During a nice storm is the best time to take your pictures around the ship. The first night on our last cruise we had 25 ft waves and since everyone was hiding in their cabin we must have taken pictures of every inch of the ship. We usually do this on the last night of the cruise when everyone is sleeping.

I was on the Majesty last week, which was in the same storm as the Dawn. We did not have any damage that I am aware of but the ship was rocking and it was somewhat scary.

As for where to go, it is different for different people. I felt best in my cabin lying down. My wife felt best in the casino. I cannot imagine drinking alcohol during the storm, I felt queasy and booze would have made it worse for me.

We were in the storm from about Friday morning until Saturday morning, 24 hours. When we got off the ship, we still felt like we were on the ship, moving. I don't fault NCL, from what I can tell, this was a freak storm that was very large. To try to dodge it at 21 mph is impossible. These ships are built to take storms at sea, now rogue waves, that's a different story I guess.

I would sail the Majesty again.

Usually, the pool is located near the longitudinal "pivot point" of the ship so the water doesn't slosh around so much. When we came back around Florida, heading north, the seas got rough as we re-entered the Atlantic. We had the best luck up in the sun, sitting by the pool.
