How much to tip - shuttle from hotel

Hi all... leaving in 4 days on the Pride, from Baltimore. We are doing a stay-park-cruise package at the Hampton Inn in White Marsh, MD. We leave the car at the hotelall week, and the hotel provides transportation to & from the pier. Anyway - even though I did this two years ago, I am completely unsure how much to tip. I can't remember if I gave the driver $10 or $20 (each way, of course) and even then I wasn't sure what was proper. There are 6 of us (2 adults 4 kids) going and it is about a 25-30 minuet drive from the hotel to the port.

$1 or $2 pp .. depending to me on if you are sharing the shuttle or the only ones in it and how many bags you have, that sort of thing.

 

So sounds like you are in the ballpark with $10 or so.

 

I have tipped $5, but Im solo if they have to make a special trip just for me alone.

buck or two a person is about right especially if they take your luggage on and off the van.

That's pretty cool that they offer the park and cruise from White Marsh. I've recommended those hotels to people driving before, but I wasn't aware that they offered the park and shuttle service, especially since it's $6 in tolls for the roundtrip to the port.

Thanks everyone. Yes, it's a great service... last time it was a minivan just for us (ie, not a shuttle bus) and the driver was very friendly... I guess I will go $10-$15 depending on how many bags we end up with, how much help we get, etc.
