Adventures ahead Posted February 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2012 We'll be on the Golden Princess on May 1. Our Paradise Cove Luau transportation will drop us off at the cruise port after the luau but won't pick us up at the port. We need to catch our ride at a Waikiki hotel after 3:30pm. What has anyone's experience been taking either a taxi or bus to Waikiki to catch their transportation?
CruiserBruce Posted February 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2012 There are many comments on this board about transport to Waikiki via cab or bus. Pretty easy to do.
flamomo Posted February 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2012 If you are docked near the Aloha Tower, it's a relatively short walk to where you can catch a taxi after you come out of the cruise terminal building. The street in front of that buiding is very busy. Turn right when you come out the door, and walk toward the shopping area. You will be able to see where the taxis are lined up. CaribbeanBound Posted February 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2012 Bus stop is right at Aloha Market place. You'll be in Waikiki in less than 30 minutes.
Jasperdo Posted February 17, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2012 Honolulu has an excellent bus system. We were on the Golden last year and took it back into town from the Arizona Memorial. After lunch downtown we took The Bus out to Waikiki. Very easy, and a great buy at $2.50.
