Archaegeo Posted February 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2012 I saw a photo of the signs on the jogging track on the oasis... 2.4 laps to the mile, 12 laps is 5 miles. Holy Crap! And we have a forward cabin on our upcoming, so dinner is 1/4 of a mile away <grin>
pjnj40 Posted February 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2012 add more mileage if you want to go to zipline, flo rider and diver show. It all located in aft.
Rare BillOh Posted February 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2012 I did 4 miles every day on Allure at an 9 minute per mile pace I think I was averaging a full 2 minutes to RUN the length of the ship. That makes for a long straight away. While I missed having the track on the open top deck, I did enjoy having the dedicated track. It is huge with lots in interesting signs to read on the way. We also had a forward cabin and the walk to and from dinner was pretty welcome, it helped keep the 7 day cruise weight gain down.
vettecruiser1 Posted February 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2012 I believe the show I watched last night said it is 3 football fields long. So roughly with endzones 360 yards from the front to the back, that is why I booked a cabin in the middle. The purser said on embarkation day they walk an average of 5 miles just in the morning. RazorbackIslandGirl Posted February 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2012 The good news is after a long day at port you will reboard on your end of the ship! It's a LONG walk back to aft rooms wet, sunburned, toting all your island goodies! Look at it as a free calorie burner! More food & drink!!! Don't get me wrong... she's HUGE! It's a walk to get anywhere! It really is like being at a large resort!:D
