Costa Language Barrier when departing Florida

I've heard that there is a huge language barrier on Costa, is this true even when sailing from the US? If so, are announcements and entertainment done in a foreign language other than English? Is it hard to communicate with the Cruise Staff? My family's trying to decide whether Costa is a good fit for us.

Thanks

Sorry, but we have been on both, the Atlantica and the Mediterranea and did NOT experience any language barriers whatsoever.

It is true that all public announcements are made in five different languages, which are English, Spanish, Italian, German and French. This applies also for the Muster Drill... just be patient and have a blast.

Happy Sailing...

We did not have any problem communicating with any of the staff. :) All announcements etc. were done in English first. Our family had such a good time we are going again next March!

DITTO!!! LOVED IT ALL.
