*Mach* Posted February 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Not on board, to be sure... The Sail and Sign card, the thing that you make all purchases with, is flagged for those under 21. You'll be fine. :)
YubaSutter Posted February 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2012 You will be OK.
skylock Posted February 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2012 My sons who are in the 30 year but look younger range are often asked for ID. I would plan to carry it.
PA Dutchman Posted February 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2012 You need a picture ID and your S&S card for ports. On the ship just your S&S card

You'll be fine. :) My daughter and many others would be out of luck if they took your advice. She was 24 last cruise and had to go back to her cabin and get photo ID before they would serve her - not a big deal but they would not accept just the S&S card - anyone can have anyone elses card as there is no photo on it. I would have DL just incase if you are that young looking
Anjanu Posted February 22, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2012 I agree with Tbay-eh. When I go in the night club, I always notice security making some people go to their cabin to get their ID.
agc291 Posted February 23, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2012 The disco is the only place asked for your ID onboard and that is because after 11 pm you have to be 18 to be in there. To drink, you are not carded because as Host Mach mentioned (and he would know) it is included on your S&S card. Off shore you will also be fine. I am 22 and have never been carded EXCEPT entering the disco. You will need your ID with your S&S card to get back in the ports though.

cherbear4000 Posted February 23, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 23, 2012 I am 31. On my past couple of carnival cruise, I was asked for id in the casino, buying alcohol, going to the disco (which you only have to be 18 andi was 30). DH and I were stopped by security getting pizza at 3:30am for violating curfew. Also, I also get the unlimited soda. They put a sticker on your S&S card. For females, if you are married your name says Mrs. and Ms. if single. Mine says Mrs. I was refused service when ordering a coke because the bartender thought I was using someone else's card. He said I was too young to be a Mrs. I was 31. I carry my id with me.
MacLove Posted February 23, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 23, 2012 when I went I never got asked for my ID. I was 22 at the time and looked even younger than that!
Chigirlcruzin Posted February 23, 2012 #12 Share Posted February 23, 2012 I'm 35 and get asked for ID from time to time. Keep it with you.
scchasgal Posted February 23, 2012 #13 Share Posted February 23, 2012 I can see having ID for the disco or casino but not the bars for ordering drinks. As soon as they scan your card your picture will come up so they know it's you.
Ehpride Posted February 23, 2012 #14 Share Posted February 23, 2012 I'm a young looking 27 and I have not been asked for it onboard. In most ports, they don't care how old you are but I always have it there anyway because I need it to get back in the port area.
Almost Packed Posted February 23, 2012 #15 Share Posted February 23, 2012 i entered the poker tournament, and my actual ID was requested. i am 40 years old so I know it wasn't because I looked underage. :( My S&S card was not enough. so yes, they can still request your ID. I usually let dh hold my ID or just leave it in the safe until it's needed or we are in port
teetee6263 Posted February 23, 2012 #16 Share Posted February 23, 2012 Glad I came across this thread, will have too keep that in mind for my DD on our upcoming cruise. Shes 21 but gets mistaken for 12 all the time, she gets so mad because they don't think shes a teen. Even gets stopped by truancy officers about once a week, I think its hilarious but she doesn't see the humor.
Martini Mom Posted February 23, 2012 #17 Share Posted February 23, 2012 Just be happy they are asking for your ID. When you stop getting carded, it'll be a sad day. ;):)
