Yes I've been wondering the same thing myself. Now from what I've gathered the snorkeling (no surprise) really is non existent within the lagoon itself, but I would love to hear from someone who might have tried snorkeling on the northern beach side, where it appears things are a bit rockier and most likely contain much more marine life.
