picklebongo Posted February 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Typically the cruise director is not somebody I make note of unless they are particularly irritating, but Karl, with a K, I liked. He did not try to sing, dance or have a comedy routine. His announcements were straight forward, there was no abuse of the PA system, no overselling bingo or anything of that nature. The man did his job competently and didn't try to be a class clown. I recall an American cd who was very similar in style, can't remember her name, but I think she was from South Carolina, but I could be mistaken. Anybody else having sailed with Karl enjoy his laid back style?
LynnAnne Posted February 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2012 I did cruise with Karl with a K years ago. He did sing and what a great voice. Sorry you didn't get to hear him sing!!
trvlqueen Posted February 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Karl is my favorite so far - and yes, he's an amazing entertainer as well as a very laid back CD. We've sailed with him three times now (not on purpose) and loved him every time.
mrpayroll Posted February 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2012 He did a little song routine during the " welcome aboard " show in January. Very entertaining.

Risa Barnes perhaps? She is currently the CD on Fantasy.
