One more thing about my Liberty cruise...

Typically the cruise director is not somebody I make note of unless they are particularly irritating, but Karl, with a K, I liked. He did not try to sing, dance or have a comedy routine. His announcements were straight forward, there was no abuse of the PA system, no overselling bingo or anything of that nature. The man did his job competently and didn't try to be a class clown. I recall an American cd who was very similar in style, can't remember her name, but I think she was from South Carolina, but I could be mistaken.

 

Anybody else having sailed with Karl enjoy his laid back style?

I did cruise with Karl with a K years ago. He did sing and what a great voice. Sorry you didn't get to hear him sing!!

Karl is my favorite so far - and yes, he's an amazing entertainer as well as a very laid back CD. We've sailed with him three times now (not on purpose) and loved him every time.

He did a little song routine during the " welcome aboard " show in January. Very entertaining.
