Best beach in St Lucia?

We (DH and I) will be sailing into St Lucia in April and would like to take a taxi to a nearby beach. We'd like to hire loungers and an umbrella and have a beach bar and bathrooms handy but we're not going to need watersports etc and don't want to be hasselled by too many beach vendors. I've read mixed reviews of Reduit Beach and Rodney Bay so I want to ask all the experts out there if there's another beach we should consider. Thanks
