Had a letter this morning requesting the remainder of our Holiday by the 13/3/12.

 

Thats Nearly 3 months away :eek: isn't that a tad early? for our Holiday on 19/6/12

Someone on Thomson was complaining about that as well.:eek: A bit more interest for them on all that money banked for an extra month.

It's a pity they aren't so prompt about sending a receipt!

Booked our cruise online, leaving 10 May, balance due date was 16 Feb.

Started getting emails middle of Jan- your balance is Now due!

Paid over phone about 10th Feb, was told email would take up to 2 weeks. Still heard nothing!

(I do know they've taken the money and the "money owing" box has gone from the online personal page)

I think they don't have enough competition!

Email them, I did this week about another matter and they sorted it out quite quickly.:):)

we have to pay the balance of our cruise by the 5th of June - not going till the 28th of August - they will get it on the 5th of June and not a day earlier lol :p

Had my reminder to pay the balance of our August cruise on 5th April. Thats 4 months before departure!!

They do seem to be asking for final payments now much sooner than they used to. There was a year-or-so back that they were discussing at possibly asking for the full payment when booking and then not offering anyway of placing a deposit and paying a final payment later. Think they got a lot of opposition from the idea so have decided on asking for payments earlier instead. Would make it more difficult though if you had to cancel for any reason to get your money back through insurance as there would be more of it.
